The more people watch, the more cash to win!

Petaling Jaya, 3 February 2021 – It has been almost a year since the Movement Control Order (MCO) took place and Malaysians are beginning to adapt to the new norms. With that, MyGameOn (MGO) once again brings back MGO Lunchtime Cup, an event specially tailored for those staying at home to fill up their free time with amazing cash prizes to be won!

First introduced in April 2020 during MCO 1.0, the MGO Lunchtime Cup is a casual esports tournament where players can participate and win cash from home.

In collaboration with Team Bosskur for the first season of MGO Lunchtime Cup, the tournament will feature a number of popular streamers from the esports scene such as Daddyhood, Gripex, Obot, Zynn, Naoki, Fiera, and Ombong.

MGO Lunchtime Cup is seasonal and will begin at 12pm for two hours, every Saturday and Sunday for a month. One day, one match and only one winner!

The amount of cash prizes accumulated daily will be based on the concept of the more people watching, the more cash to be won with a maximum amount of RM800 every week! The daily winners will stand a chance to take home RM300. Not only that, 2 lucky audience from each live match will also be given the opportunity to win RM50.

Featuring the same game PlayerUnknown’s Battleground Mobile (PUBGM), gamers can participate in solo mode, pre-registration is not required and participation is on the spot where the room key will be given during the livestream but is limited to the first 100 registered players. It’s a first come first serve basis!

REV Media Group’s Head of Gaming Content, Matthew Ho, said, “We are bringing a new content format and this is the first MGO Lunchtime Cup that is seasonal based to ensure that there is continuity to the previous tournament. We hope this can continue to be enjoyed by the public for a few more seasons”.

“We understand how challenging it is to work or study from home, so hopefully this initiative will be able to serve as a little entertainment on the weekends”, he added.

Other than that, the Chief Product Officer of REV Media Group, Nicholas Sagau also commented, “Our previous MGO Lunchtime Cup tournament was a proven success in terms of engagement and viewership, hence it can provide brands with the opportunity to tap into the casual gaming audience.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to participate and win cash every week! For more information about the MGO Lunchtime Cup, log on to www.mygameon.my or visit @mygameondotmy on Instagram and Facebook.
